| Prof. Anton Kaes, Chancellor Professor of German and Film Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, is the author of influential books and articles that have shaped interdisciplinary media studies within German Departments in the United States for nearly thirty years. Best known for his book "From Hitler to Heimat: The Return of History as Film" (Harvard 1989) and his more recent work on film and culture of the Weimar Republic, he plans to collaborate with Professor Klaus R.
